According to Wikipedia Ectoplasm comes from the Greek work meaning from the Greek ektos, “outside”, + plasma, “something formed or molded.

 Ectoplasm is believed to be linked with the formation or manifestation of a spirit or ghost and is a substance of spiritual energy.

 Ectoplasm commonly looks like a smoke, mist, vapour or a haze.

 Science has not accepted the existence of ectoplasm, but it has been associated with the paranormal for quite some time.
