Hi Bruce

Thanks for leaving us your suggestions and thoughts, it sounds like a good well rounded plan.
We have an open day of the barracks next weekend during the day which will be a good first step.
I'm a part of the committee and night tours etc are somthing that we will be definatly discussing once all the business plans etc are completed. I would suspect before we have night tours that there will be a few working bee's etc to tidy the Wards up and some work done to make the safe.

Really hope you get this happening! Not sure how long you want the tour to go for? Or what access you have to surrounding yards / buildings? Are they privately owned? Maybe start the tour with a bit of a history on why it was originally built and how it developed into an asylum for the insane that spans right accross W.Ct & RD. etc. Incorporate a bit of a walk around maybe Bronte and Alonnah and Threapy & rehab yards, Ward C with relavant history and ghost stories. Then, finishing with a tour of the Barracks. People could be locked in rooms for a minute if they were game. Need a GOOD story teller. People would need to book - might get a lot of interest and too many people. (Put my name on the top of the list please lol.) Torches! Maybe pople BYO torch. Supply red or blue cellophane & rubberbands for them. (Red & Blue seem to enable better psychic energy. Also helps set the mood.) Oooo how exciting. What a pity there isnt a permanent ghost tour of the grounds. I would LOVE to get involved in something like that!
Good luck.

Hey Kelly

We hope that it goes a head as well, but like always it will be dependant on the Council. I think initially they were only considering the Barracks but eventually we would like to have access to the other wards like you mentioned.

I believe a properly run ghost tour like the one you mention would be a big success and APIU would be more than happy to facilitate or help out in whatever way possible.

Rest assure that we will keep pushing the idea to the council; I think they just want the wards in a safe condition before they let the public go for insurances purposes.
